This award is given to supply chain solution and service providers that are at the forefront of enabling the 21st century supply chain. The goal with the "100" is to highlight a broad range of solutions and services targeted at a variety of industries, addressing the needs of companies of varying sizes, and assisting in the transformation of the diverse mix of the functions that make up the supply chain.

In order to be considered for the Atlanta Business Chronicle's select group of Pacesetters, companies must be privately held, based in metro Atlanta, have revenues between $1 million and $300 million, and have a two-year growth in sales of over 50 percent.

Submissions for the 2005 "100" were evaluated based on the pain point(s) addressed by the initiatives (The Challenge), the technologies and services used to address those pain points (The Solution), the results of the initiatives (Return on Investment, or ROI), and plans for taking the project forward (Next Steps).
